Lets Start Sorting Project

In front of the worsening waste crisis and the seriousness of the situation and to avoid worsening the problem that led to the outbreak of diseases and epidemics, and the interest of the Lebanese House Association of the environment on public health and safety has taken upon itself the environmental awareness initiative about the sort of source, and received funding from Mercy Corps. The project is divided into three areas:

• The first axis: promoting and strengthening screening culture from the source in six villages in the Chouf (Kfarhim, wind, AlWorhaneyih, Deirkoshi, Bshtfin, Kfarfakoud), were distributed three containers of the sort of homes as gifts, the red color of solids, green materials organic, blue for paper and cardboard, in addition to a booklet and a cloth bag to reduce the consumption of nylon bags.

• The second axis: environmental education in schools through educational seminars and activities of environmental variety and distribution of pamphlets by age groups and the establishment of an environmental club in each of the following schools: Children’s Committee Deirkoushi – Boldwin school – Highland – La Culture School- Dmit School – Raouf Ghanem official School Kfarnabrakh – Kfarfakoud official school – Kfarhim official medium mixed School.

The third axis: the collection and CBS paper and cardboard to contribute to the recycling through the agreements signed with the Association of Municipalities, schools, institutions and factories, leading to the creation of a special warehouse for paper in Kfarhim Chouf.
